Call for IBIS related patent disclosures: - None Call for opens: - None Review of previous meeting minutes: - No March 20 minutes were available for review. ARs: - Mike LaBonte to complete BIRD appendix for parser contract. - Mike updated sections for BIRDs 158.7 and 179 New IBISCHK bugs: - None IBISCHK7 parser development: - Mike showed IBISCHK700_PARSER_CONTRACT_draft5.docx - Mike: BIRD158.7 was changed after the Friday IBIS Open Forum meeting. - Bob: We also discussed a BIRD change to allow us to enforce requirements with ERROR, not WARNING. - Mike: IBIS provides little description of numeric requirements in a number of places. - For example only an example comment says whether Vinl/Vinh are AC or DC. - Bob: We could add detail in a number of places, such as Polarity in [Model]. - Mike: The section for BIRD179 has been updated, but there are questions.. - Mike showed BIRD179. - Mike: The BIRD does not state that the named parameter must exist. - It does not seem useful to have "placeholder" parameter names. - Bob: This was about models implementing features like non-standard back-channel, that only one tool might understand. - Mike: Could the note about "Label is not required" be dropped? - Bob: Maybe. They are never required, that is a given. - The Table values could be given in columns, not just rows. - Mike: That is another case of not specifying details. - As written, any row/column arrangement could be accepted. - Bob: We should raise this at ATM. - Mike: We should be conservative right now, require a single column. - That can be relaxed later. - Also BIRD179 does not specify how to treat hierarchical parameters. - We might interpret the parameter name to support only top level parameters. - Bob: IBISCHK could check for the first occurrence of a name at any level. - Mike added requirements for number of columns and name hierarchy to the parser contract. - Mike showed Supporting_Files in IBIS 6.1. - Mike: This is similar to Special_Param_Names, and it does specify one column. - Bob Ross moved to adjourn. Lance Wang seconded. - The meeting ended without objection. Meeting ended: 11:48 ET Next meeting April 3, 2018
